What We Believe

Our Purpose is to:

  1. Study and teach the Holy Scriptures. (2 Timothy 2:15)

  2. Lead people to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. (Matthew 28:18-20)

  3. Minister to the needs of our community. (Deuteronomy 15:11)

  4. Administer the Lord's Supper and observe Baptism. (1 Corinthians 11:26-28; Acts 10:47-48)

Profession of Faith:

Scripture

The Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Trinity
The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Christ (Heb. 1:8), in His virgin birth (Matt. 1:18), in His sinless life (2 Cor. 5:21), in His miracles (Jn. 3:20-30), in His victorious and atoning death through His shed blood (Jn. 3:16-18), in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God, and in His personal return in power and glory (1 Cor. 15).

The Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature (Acts 5:3-4).

The Holy Spirit
Mankind

We believe that man was created in innocence and by voluntary transgression fell into sin (Rom. 5:12-19). The only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ. Salvation is the free gift of God received through confession of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Rom. 3). The inward evidence is the witness of the Spirit; the outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Rom. 8) maintained with prayer, study of the Bible and fellowship with the saints (Acts 2:42-44).
